That means x : y = 5 : 6

and x - 7 : y - 7 = 4 :5

 \frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{5}{6}  =  >  6x - 5y = 0

and 2nd equation is

 \frac{x - 7}{y - 7}  =  \frac{4}{5} \\  \\ 5(x - 7) = 4(y - 7) \\  \\ 5x - 35 = 4y - 28 \\ 5x - 4y = 7

equate these equations

y = 42

and x = 35
