The 2 parallel sides are 4cm and 14 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Make it a combination of rectangle and triangle side by side - triangle has the base as 10 cm and height as 25 cm. So area of the triangle is 125 sq cm. So the rectangular area is 225-125 =100 sq cm. So the other side is 4 since 25 *4 =100 sq cm

So finally the 2 parallel sides are 4cm and 14 cm

Answer:

Let one parallel sides be x

then other one= x + 10

ATQ, (according to question)

Area =1/2* sum of parallel sides * height

=)225 sq.cm = 1/2 * (x+x+10) *25

=)225 = 1/2 *2(x+10)*25

=)225 =x +5 *25

=)x +5 *25=225

=)x +5=225/25

=)x=9-5

=4

Hence one parallel side is=x=4cm

and other one =x +10=14cm
