  • 1/2 × (SUM OF PARALLEL SIDES) × HEIGHT= AREA
  • 1/2 × (3+X) × 3= 12
  • (3+X) ×3 = 12×2
  • 9+ 3X = 24
  • 3X= 24- 9
  • 3X= 15
  • X= 15/3
  • X= 5cm

Therefore, the length of the other side is 5cm
