Given:

distance between two inner and outer square frames = 1.35cm

used 20 equidistant nails around the bigger frame

Find difference in the perimeter of the outer frame and the inner frame=?

So for outer frame

  • The perimeter of outer frame

        (20 - 1) × 1.35

       =19 × 1.35

       =25.65

  • The perimeter of inner frame

each side of inner frame is 1.35 × 2=2.7 , less than each side of outer frame

     (\frac{25.65}{4} - 1.35 \times2)\times4\\\\=(\frac{25.65}{4}-2.7 ) \times4\\\\=(\frac{25.65-2.7\times4}{4} )\times4\\\\=\frac{25.65-10.8}{4}\times4 \\\\=25.65-10.8\\\\=14.85

25.65 - 14.85

=10.8

Hence the answer is 10.8
