10. The lengths of two ropes are in the ratio 7:5. Find the length of :
(1) shorter rope, if the longer one is 22.5 m
(ii) longer rope, if the shorter is 9.8 m.

5A =7-5B

1. 5(22.5) =7-5B

B=-21.1

therefore A=1.4

2 . 5A=7-5B

5A=7-5(9.8)

A=-8.4

therefore. B=1.4
