Solution :-

let the total no. if girls and boys be y

let the No. of boys be 7x and the no.of girls be 5x

As , no. of boys = 8 + no.of girls

$\tt : \mapsto \: 7x \: = 8 + 5x$

$\tt : \mapsto \: 7x - 5x = 8$

$\tt : \mapsto \: 2x = 8$

$\tt : \mapsto \bf \red{\boxed {x = 4}}$

so , the no. of boys = 7x = 7×4 = 28

& , the no. of girls = 5x = 5×4 = 20
