Answer :-

your answer is

Given :-

  • ratio of boys and girls in a class are 7:5 .
  • No. of boys = 8 + No. of girls

Solution :-

let the total no. if girls and boys be y

let the No. of boys be 7x and the no.of girls be 5x

As , no. of boys = 8 + no.of girls

 \tt  : \mapsto \: 7x \:  = 8 + 5x

 \tt :  \mapsto \: 7x - 5x = 8

 \tt : \mapsto \: 2x = 8

 \tt :  \mapsto  \bf \red{\boxed {x = 4}}

so , the no. of boys = 7x = 7×4 = 28

& , the no. of girls = 5x = 5×4 = 20

 \tt \tiny \red{ \boxed{ \:  \:   \{\therefore \: the \: total \: strength \: of \: the \: class (y)  =  28 + 20}}
