Side of the square (S) = 15 cm.

Perimeter of the square = 4 X S

= 4 X 15

= 60 cm.

Since it is given that,

Perimeter of the square = perimeter of the rectangle

so ,

perimeter of the Rectangle = 60 cm

Let the breadth be " X "

Length is twice the breadth = 2X

According to problem

2 ( L + b) = 60 cm

2 ( 2X + X ) = 60

2 (3X) = 60

3X = 60/2

3X = 30

==> X = 30/3

X = 10

Therefore,

Breadth = X =10 cm

Length = 2X = 2 (10) = 20cm

Area of the rectangle = L X B

= 20 cm x 10 cm

= 200 cm^2
