Student failed in history =24%

Students passed in history=100%−24%=76%

Students failed in geography =43%

Students passed in geography =100%−43%=57%

Students failed in both =13%

Total failed students = Failed in history + failed in geography-both

Total fail students =24%+43%-13%=54%

If 54% failed then 46% will be passed.

Let total students be x.

Hence, 13% of x=115

⇒x=115÷13%

⇒x=115×100/13

⇒x=11500/13=884

Therefore, total students is 884
