Let the angle be 'x'

Then the complementary angle will be : 180-x

And supplementary angle will be : 90-x

According to the the condition above...

180-x + 90-x = 140

270-2x = 140

(Take 140 from RHS to LHS)

AND

(Take '-2x' from LHS to RHS)

Then the equation will be,

270 - 140 = 2x

130 = 2x

(Take 2 from RHS to LHS)

130/2 = x

65 = x

Therefore,

X = 65.

Then,

Complementary angle = 180 - x

= 180 - 65

= 115.

Supplementary angle = 90 - x

= 90 - 65

= 25.

Thanks!

❣️Hi❣️

Let the angle be "x".

supplement: 180-x

complement: 90-x

Equation:

180-x+90-x = 140

270-2x = 140

270-140= 2x

130=2x

130/2=x

x=65 degrees

Therefore,

X = 65.

Then,

Complementary angle = 180 - x

= 180 - 65

= 115.

Supplementary angle = 90 - x

= 90 - 65

= 25.
