SOLUTION

TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT OPTION

The sum of the digits of a two-digits number is 9. If the digit in the unit place of the two digit number be x, the number

(a) 9x + 9

(b) 11x + 9

(c) 90 - 9x

(d) 9 - x

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the digit in the unit place of the two digit number is x

Again the sum of the digits of a two-digits number is 9

So number at ten digit

= 9 - x

Hence the required number

= 10( 9 - x ) + x

= 90 - 10x + x

= 90 - 9x

FINAL ANSWER

Hence the correct option is (c) 90 - 9x
