10. Three velocities in km/hr are 4^i - 2j+
5^k, -2^i+ 2^j + 3^k,
7^i + 3^j + 4^k. What is average of the
velocities in km/hr?

Answer: The average of the three velocities is 3i + j + 4k

Explanation:

The vector sum of the 3 velocities is

(4^i - 2j+5^k) + (-2^i+ 2^j + 3^k) + (7^i + 3^j + 4^k)

= 9 i + 3j + 12k

Now the average velocity is (9 i + 3j + 12k) / 3 [ Since there are three terms]

=  3i + j + 4k
