Answer:

Let the length of third side be a units

length of equal sides = (2a -5) units

now, perimeter = 55

⇒a + (2a-5) +(2a-5) = 55

⇒5a =65

⇒a =13

so length of sides are 13 m, 21 m and 21 m

Answer:

Let the third side be x

x + (2x - 5) + (2x - 5) = 55 \\  \\ x + 2x - 5 + 2x - 5 = 55 \\  \\ 5x - 10 = 55 \\  \\ 5x = 65 \\  \\ { \boxed{x = 13}}

One side= 13 m

Second side= 21 m

Third side= 21 m
