Let the marks of student 1 = x

marks of student 2 will be = x+9

Now marks of student 2 = 56% of sum of marks of (student 1 and student 2)

=> x+9 = 56% of ( x + x+9)

=> x+9 = 56/100 ( 2x + 9)

=> 100x + 900 = 112x + 504

=> 112x - 100x = 900 - 504

=> 12x = 396

=> x = 396/12

=> x = 33

so marks of student 1 = 33

marks of student 2 = 33 + 9 = 42

marks obtained by them are 33 and 42

Answer:

33 and 42

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one of the student secure x Marks

the other student secures (x+9)

From the given condition, we have

(x+9)=56percent of (x+x+9)=56/100×(2x+9)

100x+900=112x+504

12x=900-504

x=396/12

x=33

Therefore,Marks obtained by first student =33

Marks obtained by other student =42
