10. What is the difference between facilitated diffusion and simple diffusion?
Answers
The difference between facilitated diffusion and simple diffusion are :-
Facilited diffusion
1. It is the type of diffusion in which the molecules moves from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration
2. For example- the membrane allows only selective molecules and ions to through it.however prevents other molecules from passing through the membrane
3. pH helps in the diffusion across the membrane
4. It is a passive process
Simple diffusion
1. It is the process by which solutes moves along a concentration gradient in the solution
2. It is the action of hydrogen bonds between water solutes
3. It is an active process
A N S W E R :-
Simple diffusion and facilitated diffusion are similar in that both involve movement down the concentration gradient. The difference is how the substance gets through the cell membrane.
hope it's help
