Most of the Peninsular Rivers drain into the Bay of Bengal because: The Eastern Ghats are lower than the Western Ghats and moreover the Eastern Ghats are discontinuous providing the rivers an easy passage to the Bay of Bengal. ... The two Peninsular rivers draining into the Arabian Sea are- the Narmada and the Tapi.
