H.C.F. (a,b) x L.C.M. (a,b) = a x b   ...( i )

Here,

(a) 16, 24

LCM (16, 24) = 48

HCF (16, 24) = 8

put the values in eq. ( i )

48 x 8 = 16 x 24

384 = 384

(b) 30, 45

LCM (30, 45) = 90

HCF (30, 45) = 15

put the values in eq. ( i )

90 x 15 = 30 x 45

1350 = 1350

Hence, both question are proved.
