10 women & 20girls can finish a piece of work in 2 days,while 6women & 4girls can finish in it in 5days.find the time taken by 1 women alone to finish the work

let W denotes women & G denotes girls

now (10W+20G)×2=(6W+4G)×5

20W+40G=30W+20G

10W=20G

W:G=2:1 this is work ratio i.e w works 2 unit/day and g works 1 unit /day

now total work = (10W+20G)×2

by putting value (20+20)×2=80 unit total work

now, time taken by 1 women to complete 80 unit work = 80/2 = 40 days

Required Number = (10x+y).

Number obtained on reversing the digits = (10y+x).

Therefore,

(10y+x)−(10x+y)=18

9y−9x=18

On adding (1) and (2), we get,

2y=14⟹y=7

Therefore,

x=5

Hence, the required number is 57.
