Solution :

10( x + 2 ) - 8( x - 3 ) = -4( x + 6 ) + 2

=> 10x + 20 - 8x + 24 = -4x - 24 + 2

=> 2x + 44 = -4x - 22

=> 2x + 4x = -22 - 44

=> 6x = -66

=> x = ( -66 )/6

=> x = -11

Verification :

Put x = -11 in given linear equation in

one variable x .

10( -11 + 2 ) - 8( -11 - 3 ) = -4( -11 + 6 ) + 2

=> 10( -9 ) - 8( -14 ) = -4( -5 ) + 2

=> -90 + 112 = 20 + 2

=> 22 = 22 [ True ]
