Step-by-step explanation:

solution

10/x+y+2/x-y=4............(1)eq

15/x+y-5/x-y=-2.............(2)eq

consider 1/x+y=u and 1/x-y=v

10u+2v=4.......(3)eq

15u-5v=-2......(4)eq

finding the value of v in (4)eq

v=-2×15u/-5

putting the value of v in (3)eq

10u+2×-2×15u/5=4

50u-60u=20

-10u=20

u=-2

putting the value of u in v

v=-2×15×-2/5

v=-12

now,

u=-2=1/x+y= x+y=-2........ (5) eq

v=-12=1/x-y= x-y=-12.........(6)eq

add (5)eq and (6)eq

we get 2x=-14

x=-7

put the value of x in (6)eq

-7-y=-12

-y=-5

y=5

value of y is 5

and value of x is -7
