Answer:

Solution :-

10/x + y = 3 and 4/x - 2y = 3 by elimination method.

10/x + y = 3 . . . .(1)

4/x - 2y = 3 . . . .(2)

Multiply equation (1) by 2, we get

20/x + 2y = 6 . . . . (3)

4/x - 2y = 3 . . . . . . (4)

Adding (3) and (4) we get,

20/x + 2y = 6

4/x - 2y = 3

____________

24/x = 9

9x = 24

x = 24/9

x = 8/3

Substituting the value of x = 8/3 in equation (1) we get

10/x + y = 3

➞ 10/(8/3) + y = 3

➞ 30/8 + y = 3

➞ y = 3 - 30/8

➞ y = - 6/8

➞ y = - 3/4

∴ The value of x = 8/3, y = - 3/4 is the solution of the system of the given equations.
