Let, the present age of Chandravati's mother and Chadravati are x and y years.

Then,
x - 10 = 4 (y-10)
or, x - 4y + 30 = 0 .....(i)

x + 10 = 2 (y+10)
or, x - 2y - 10 = 0 .....(ii)

Now, (i) - (ii) gives
-2y + 40 = 0
or, y = 20.

From (i), we get
x = 50.

So, present age of Chandravati's mother is 50 years and that of Chandravati is 20 years.
