10 years ago, the average age of 10 people was 33 years. After 3 years, a person of age 40 died. After another 3 years, another person of age 40 died. After another 3 years, another person of age 30 dies. Find the present average age.

The total age of 10 people 10 years ago was

=10*33=330 years

Now....

After 3 years the total age is=(10*3)+330-40=320 yrs

After another 3 years.... The total age is

=320+(9*3)-40=307

After another 3 years.... The total age was

=307+(8*3)-30=301 yrs

So there are only=(10-3)= 7 peoples left

Still 1 year remaining...

Therfore the total age of 7 peoples in present is

=301+(7*1)=308

Average=308/7=44 years
