576 ml mixture contains milk mand water in the ratio of 7:5 respectively. 240 ml of
mixture is taken out and 'x' ml of water and 'x + 64' ml of milk is added into the
remaining mixture so that quantity of milk in the final mixture is 60% more than that of
water. Find the value of x.

729 ml of mixture is in the ratio of 7:2 milk:water. Then:

729/ 7+2=729/9=81

7x 81=567ml milk

2 x 81=162 ml water.

Let n be the amount of water to be added. Then:

567=7/10(729+n)

=510.3+.7n

56.7=.7n

n=56.7/.7

=81 ml of water to be added
