Answer:

a=29/24 and b=5/88

Step-by-step explanation:

given that : 100a+200b=25/6 and 60a(240b=4

if 100a+200b=25/6

then, 600a+1200b=25

600a+1200b-25=0

25(24a+48b-1)=0

24a+48b-1=0........equation (1)

and if, 60a+240b=4

60a+240b-4=0

4(15a+60b-1)=0

15a+60b - 1= 0........equation (2)

from equation (1) - (2)

24a+48b-1=0

-15a-60b+1 =0

by taking the LCM of 24 and 15 = 120

8(24a+48b-1=0)

-5(15a +60b-1=0)

= 120a +388b-8 -120a - 300b+5=0

= 88b -5=0

= 88b=0

= b = 5 /88

by substituting the value of b in equation (1) (24a+48b-1=0)

24a+48(5/88)=1

24(a+10/8)=1

a+(10/8)=1/24

a=1/24-10/8

a=(1-30)/24

a= 29/24

So a=29/24 and b = 5/88
