100 boxes of dimension 20cm×10cm×5cm are required for packing some goods. how much cardboard will have to be purchased to undertake the work.

Answer:

TSA of 1 box = 2h(lb+bh+lh) = 2*5[(20*10)+(10*5)+(5*20)

                     = 10*350 = 3500 cm²

so area of cardboard required for 100 boxes = 3500*100 = 350000 cm²

= 35 m²
