Mass of solute = 100 g

Volume of solution = 420 ml

Mass by volume percentage = \bold{ \frac{Mass  \: o f  \: solute \times 100}{Volume \:  of \:  solution}}

 \frac{100 \times 100}{420}  =  \frac{500}{21} \%

Mass of Sugar = 100 grams

Mass of Water = 420ml = 420 grams

Mass percent of sugar=

 \frac{mass \: of \: sugar}{mass \: of \: solution}  \times 100

=

 \frac{100}{420 + 100}  \times 100

=

 \frac{100}{520}  \times 100

= 19.2%

Therefore, concentration of solution is 19.2%
