As the power dissipated across a resistor is

P = V^2/R

So, V = √PR
V = √100*4= √400 = 20 V

Hey!

Notation :- l=Current, H=Heat

©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©©

=>H=100 Joule

=>Time =1 second

=>Resistance=4 ohm

=>H=l².RT

=>l²=H÷RT

=>l²=100÷4×1

=>l²=100÷4

=>l²=25

=>I=√25

=>l=5

=>V=I×R

=>V=5×4

=>V=20

Potential difference = 20 Volt :)
