hey mate!!
here is ur answer

volume of solute=100ml
volume of solution=volume of solute+volume of solvent
volume of solution=100+400
=500ml
volume %=volume of solute/volume of solution×100
volume%=100/500×100
=20%

Answer: 20% volume percentage solution

Explanation:

Solute= Alcohol, Solvent =Water, Solution = Alcohol + Water

Volume of alcohol = 100 mL

Volume of water = 400 mL

Volume of the solution: 100 + 400 = 500 mL

Volume \%=\farc{\text{volume of solute}}{\text{volume of solution}}\times 100

volume \%=\frac{100}{500}\times 100=20\%

20% volume percentage solution
