Velocity = Escape Velocity /2

Velocity = 11.2/2

= 5.6km/s

velocity will decrase as the object moves away form the surface, as the gravitational pull is acting in the opposite direction.

acceleration due to gravity will be -9.8 m/s

at the height of 3R

the velocity will be

let the final velocity be

v

then,

(Ve-v)/t= -9.8m/s

therefore the velocity at 3R

will be

9.8×t+Ve
