Two vectors are said to be COPLANAR when they are parallel to a same plane. For eg. if the two vectors are parallel to x-y plane or any plane, then they are coplanar.

Moreover, the vectors are said to be COPLANAR when their scalar triple product is zero i.e. a.(b x c) = 0 .

However, when the vectors are parallel or antiparallel to each other or to any other line, they are said to be COLLINEAR.

You can remember like this-

COPLANE- Same plane

COLLINEAR- Same line.

2)They designate a plane
