However, if you are asking for existence of a maximum of two electrons only in one orbital then it is explained as the electrons have their spin quantum number and electrons with same spin will repel each other and since an electron can have only two spins clockwise or anticlockwise so, the two opposite spins can remain in one orbital together the third matching spin will be repelled out. Hence, capacity of orbital is maximum of 2 electrons only.
