Answer :-

Given quadratic equation

 2 x^2 - 4x + 1 = 0

Then as we know quadratic equation

=  \frac{-b± \sqrt{ b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}

Then by putting values in it

b = -4

a = 2

c = 1

=  \frac{-(-4)± \sqrt{ (-4)^2 - 4× 2 × 1}}{2 × 2}

=  \frac{4± \sqrt{ 16 - 8}}{4}

=  \frac{4± \sqrt{ 8}}{4}

=  \frac{4± 2\sqrt{ 2}}{4}

=  \frac{4± 2.828}{4}

Then values of x

=  \frac{4+ 2.828}{4}

=  \frac{6.828}{4}

= 1.707

And

=  \frac{4 - 2.828}{4}

=  \frac{1.172}{4}

= 0.293

Hope it helps
