Answer:

everything in our lives has progressed, so have health problems and diseases. These days, almost every other individual is suffering from stress which further leads to depreciation of health. But before we talk about this topic ‘Stress’, lets first understand what its medical significance is.

In generic terms, stress is the product of unpleasant events happening around you and how your body reacts to your thought processes. In simpler terms, stress is caused mainly when you can’t cope up with pressure which comes in many shapes, forms and it triggers psychological response.

We all have become so busy and always trying our best to manage our daily routine tasks but somehow we always run out of time and some of the tasks remain undone. You might argue that it has nothing to do with the mismanagement of time but because you are always burdened with unrealistic tasks to carry out. This might be partially true but stress usually occurs due to poor time management and not setting your priorities.

Another major reason for a stressed out life might be your unhealthy lifestyle. Grabbing your favorite cheeseburger during lunch time is great but should never become a meal of your daily diet.

Another one of the most common reasons for stress these days is conflicts at workplace or at home. Most of us usually get very uncomfortable with disagreements and take them personally rather than resolving it. Unnecessary arguments often lead to higher stress levels.

Additionally, working and managing all the tasks means you will be in a heightened state of tension all the time and your mind and body will never get a chance to get rid of stress. Hence failing to take out some time for yourself can result in stress and ineffectiveness.

Other reasons for stress might be renovating a house or entering a new workplace. These causes anxiety and tiredness which instantly results in stress.

Now that we have gained enough knowledge about the factors causing stress, let us have a look at how to prevent it.

The most obvious can be avoiding all of the above stress-causing habits and situations can greatly reduce stress. But to elaborate a little, if you are willing to fight stress, you first have to identify the main cause of it.

Secondly, physical activity plays a vital role in reducing stress so no matter how busy you are, it’s recommended to take an hour or half out of your schedule everyday and exercise. You don’t necessarily have to become an athlete or join a gym; any kind of physical activity will boost your mood and fight away anger, frustration and tension.

Moreover, remember it’s not healthy to avoid a situation that needs to be addressed. Learn to say no, avoid people who cause stress, take control of your environment and avoid hot-button topics.

Furthermore, it is extremely important to adopt a healthy lifestyle which means reducing sugar and caffeine from your diet and quitting alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. Also, make sure to have an adequate amount of sleep.

If these preventions seem a little too much to follow then you can think of taking stress relief supplements but of course not without the recommendation of your doctor.
