British Colony ruled India for more than 200 years, and they used to treat Indians like their slaves and misbehaved a lot with them. Those who lived under British rule always dreamt about Freedom of the Country.
People who fought for the Independence of the Nation from the British are named Freedom Fighters. They were the great leaders who sacrificed everything, even their lives, for the Freedom of the Country. These people kept their motherland above every aspiration in their lives.
Their methods to fight against the British were different, but their motive was the same to get National Independence. Some of them followed the path of Non-Violence and fought silently as Mahatma Gandhi went on strikes and hunger strikes, while some of them show their courage in the battle, such as Rani Lakshmi Bai and Tantia Tope.
Indian Freedom did not come easily; it was all because of endless and courageous efforts. They faced hardships, torture, and went to jail, disrespected, hurt, and exploited. We cannot forget their sacrifices, and we must respect their immense courage because of them, we got Independence on 15th August 1947. They are the epitome of Patriotism for others
