Independence holds great importance for everyone across the world, irrespective of caste, class, gender or race. Thus, in India too Independence Day is considered a momentous day in its history. It was 15th of August, 1947 when India got its freedom from the long slavery of around 200 years of the British Rule. It would ever remain a holy day for every Indian because we have achieved our Independence after a lot of struggle and sacrifices.

Independence day is celebrated on every 15 august. It is a major day for India because they got freedom from british on this day. Every Indian celebrated this day with joy and happiness. School also organize a special function for children in which children take part on different activities. A special function also held on Delhi in which soldiers show their courage. Our prime minister also host flag on red fort. This day also inspire us to follow the teaching of nonviolence and peace that was preached by MAHATMA GANDHI, the father of our nation . so we should follow their way. This day also reminds us our duty and responsibilities towards the country.
