Let there be a constant x common in the ratios,

So, In three conatiners 1000L will be divided as 2x Litre,9x Litre,14 x Litre

=>2x+9x+14x=1000

=>25x=1000

=>x=40

So, in the first container: 2x=2*40

                                              =80L

In the second conatiner: 9x=9*40

                                              =360L

In the third container : 14x= 14*40

                                               =560L
