Saket has purchased one lottery ticket
And out of 1000 tickets, there are 5 prizes on these tickets
So no of favourable outcomes for winning a prize is same as selecting one lottery ticket from 5 lottery tickets which contain prizes which is 5C1 which is 5
As no of possible outcomes is same as no of Ways to select one ticket from 1000 tickets which is same as 1000C1 which is 1000
So probability of winning a prize = 5/1000 = 0.005
And out of 1000 tickets, there are 5 prizes on these tickets
So no of favourable outcomes for winning a prize is same as selecting one lottery ticket from 5 lottery tickets which contain prizes which is 5C1 which is 5
As no of possible outcomes is same as no of Ways to select one ticket from 1000 tickets which is same as 1000C1 which is 1000
So probability of winning a prize = 5/1000 = 0.005
