1005 fresh bananas are plucked from a plantation in Kerala. The bananas are packed together in boxes in group of dozens (the remaining bananas are also packed). (i) Express the number of bananas in dozens (ii) How many more bananas are required so that they have a total of hundred dozen?

(i) 1005/12=83(r)9

so the no of dozens is 83

(ii) to find no of bananas needed to make it 100 dozens=(12×100)-1005
