Answer:-

Initial Pressure of the gas \sf{ (P_1) }= 1400 torr.

Initial Volume of the gas\sf{ (V_1) }= 100 cm³

Final Volume of the gas\sf{(V_2)} = 250 cm³.

Let , the final Pressure be (P2) .

We know that,

Boyle's law of gases states that at constant temperature the pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to its Volume.

P \: \: \alpha  \:  \:\frac{1}{V}  \\  \\

(or)

PV = k (Constant).

(or)

\sf{P_1V_1 = P_2V_2}

→ (1400)(100) = \sf{P_2}250

\sf{P_2} = (1400)(100)/250

\sf\large{P_2} = 560\:\: torr.

Hence, the Pressure of the gas would be 560 torr.
