\huge\bf\pink{\underline{\underline{ANSWER:-}}}

Given :-

\sf{Power \: (P) = 100 \: w}

\sf{Resistance \: (R) = 4 \: ohm}

To Find :-

\sf{what's \: the \: potential \: difference \: across \: the \: resistor \: ?}

Using Formula :-

\sf\boxed{Power = potential \: difference\times Current}

Solution :-

\sf{P = VI}

We know :-

\sf{I =\dfrac{V}{R}}

So ,

\sf{P = V\times \dfrac{V}{R}}

\sf{P = \dfrac{V^{2}}{R}}

\sf{V^{2} = PR}

\sf{V^{2} = 100\times 4}

\sf{V^{2} = 400}

\sf{V =\sqrt{400}}

\sf{V = 20 \: volt}
