103ml of carbon dioxide were collected at 27degree celesis and 763 mm pressure. What will be its volume if the pressure is changed to 721 mm at same temperature?

according to BOYLE'S law of an ideal gas. at constant temperature, pressure is inversely proportional to volume of gas. e.g., PV=K

or, P_1V_1=P_2V_2

given, initial volume of CO2 gas , V_1=103ml

initial pressure of CO2 gas, P_1 = 763 mm Hg

final pressure of gas, P_2 = 721 mm Hg

now, 103ml × 763 mm Hg = V_2 × 721mm Hg

or, V_2 = 103 × 763/721

= 109 ml

hence, answer is 109 mL
