Question

105 + 106 using the identity .

Answer

  • first expand the multiplication and then use the formula x^2 + (a+b)X + a×b .

105 + 106

= 100+5 × 100 + 6

= (100)^2 + (5+6)100 + 5×6

= 10000 + 11 × 100 + 30

= 10000 + 1100 + 30

= 11130

Additional information;

(X+y)^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2xy

(x-y)^2 = x^2 + y^2 - 2xy

(X+a)(X+b) = x^2 + (a+b)X + a×b

The required answer to Ur question is 11130 .
