Answer

Carbocations are the planar species. The central atom present in a carbonation is in a state of sp^{2} hybridisation.

The unhybridised 2p-orbital of the central atom remains vacant.

The +ve charge is present on the central carbon which is sp^{2} hybridised.

The stability of carbocations follows the order :

3°>2°>1°
