Inertia of Rest Example:-
- When a carpet is beaten with a stickdust comes out.
- This is because when the carpet is beaten, it moves due to the force applied, but the dust particles tend to remain in the state of rest due to inertia of rest.
- So, the dust remains in that position and getting no support , fall off.
Inertia of Motion:-
- Let us take an example when you travel in a bus. You fall forward when the driver applies the brakes because the feet is in contact with the ground.
- As a result, the lower part comes to rest, but the upper part keeps moving forward.
- This is the reason why we fall forward.
SIMILARITIES-:
IN BOTH CASES NATURAL STATE OF BODY IS CHANGED .
