Given:

Transformer = 10kva

Voltage = 400v/200v

Resistance = 3%

Reactance = 6%

Current = 50A

To Find:

Voltage across the load

Solution:

For the 200V, the load current = 10000/200

= 50A

Full load percentage regulation = % Rcos Ф2 + % XsinФ2

As the load is purely resistive, the power factor will be cosФ = 1 and sinФ = 0

Thus, % regulation = %R = 3%

Output voltage across load = 200 × 97%

= 200 × 97/100

= 194

Answer: The voltage across load is 194V
