yes it is true that "The infancy days of Abdul Kalam in Rameshwaram spoke volumes about the secularism"
I would like to give one example from his childhood 
when abdul kalam was in school he used to sit in first bench in his class
he used to sit with his hindu friend ramanatha sastry
one day a new teacher came to his class.
when he saw a muslim and a indu boy sitting together he was very suprised
he asked abdul kalam to sit back.
after going home when they shared this incident with their parents, ramanatha shastry's father was a priest
he strictly warned that teacher not to repeat this thing again
this would be the best example to describe that
