Let the larger angle be x
& the smaller angle be y

according to the question,

Case 1st
x & y are complementary angle,
so,

x+y=90....i

case 2nd

y=x-16.......ii

putting value of y in equation i

x+y=90

x+x-16=90

2x=90+16

2x=106

x=53

putting value of x in equation ii

y=x-16

y=53-16

y=37

larger angle=53
smaller angle=37
