 Given \: algebraic \: expression:\\10x - 5y + 2x - 3y

/* Rearranging the like terms as follows */

 = 10x + 2x - 5y - 3y

 = ( 10 + 2 )x + ( -5 - 3 )y \\= 12x - 8y

Therefore.,

 \red { 10x - 5y + 2x - 3y} \green { =  12x - 8y}
