The solution of the given equation is 2

GIVEN:- 10y-0.2 (7-y)=19

TO FIND:- the value of y

SOLUTION:-

10y-0.2 (7-y)=19

Brackets imply multiplication. Firstly we'll multiply

 10y-1.4 + 0.2y=19 \\

Adding y variable

10.2y - 1.4 = 19

When we shift any number or variable from one side to another then the sign changes

10.2y = 19 + 1.4 \\ 10.2y = 20.4

Dividing both sides by 10.2

 \frac{10.2y}{10.2}  =  \frac{20.4}{10.2}  \\ y = 2

Hence, the solution of the given equation is 2
