=12x-120.
and his son's age 10 years ago be= x-10

According to the question, 10years hence he will be twice as old as his son

12x-120+10=2(x+10)
=>12x-110=2x+20
=>12x-2x=20+110
=>10x=130
=>x=130/10
=>x=13

therefore,
present age of father= 12x=12×13=156
present age of his son=x=13
